About
A studio that works on clay
Red clay is the first pigment people ever used. Allura is being rebuilt around it, from one studio.
Allura Tech & Art has been owner-operated since 2020. The earlier catalogue has been retired. What replaces it is a single line built on one material: masks in five clays, clay cleansing and scrubs, and bentonite clay taken internally.
The line is in stock. Orders are placed here and confirmed by us before anything is charged — there is no card form on this site yet, so you will get an invoice from the studio rather than a receipt from a checkout.
We sell directly. There are no marketplace listings and no retail stockists.
The three states
Clay is raw, then dry, then fired, and it is a different colour at each stage. Raw is damp and grey-pink and holds a fingerprint. Dry is chalky and pale. Fired is terracotta. The work is being photographed across all three — that series is being made now, and the product imagery on this site today is rendered, as the footer says.
